Liverpool Win the Champion’s League!
A fantastic summer for British football fans
For the first time in history, the Champions League and the Europa league had four English teams in the finals!
In the Europa league, Arsenal played Chelsea. Chelsea beat the Gunners 4 – 1 and lifted the trophy in Baku Olympic Stadium in Azerbaijan.
In the semi-finals of the Champions League, Liverpool beat Barcelona, going from 3 – 0 to 3 – 4! Tottenham Hotspur won their place in the final by beating Ajax in the 96th minute of the match!
The Champions League final was played in Madrid. Liverpool won 2 – 0 with the help of a penalty after just twenty-five seconds! The penalty was against Spurs’ Moussa Sissoko, after a handball in the box. The Reds’ scored again in the 89th minute. This is the 6th Champions league title won by Liverpool.
Jordan Henderson, Liverpool’s captain, said: “I’ve had tough times but I’ve kept going – just as this club has. It’s the best moment of my life, this is what I dreamed of since I was a kid.
It’s not about me, it’s not about me being captain or lifting the trophy, it’s about this club, these players, this manager. Now we must keep going and kick on.”

I like football. Football is a very good sport because everyone must work hard as a team. My favourite team is Barcelona. I like this team because players are hard-working and they are talented. I think Liverpool is great too. Now I play handball. It is a very nice sport. I and My team have won the Lodz championship, a tournament in my city and we went to Poland championship. We took the twelfth place. Today we had a handball tournament too. We have won again. I played football in the local club for three years. Sometimes I play basketball with my friends, dad and brother. My handball coach is calm and he is very professional. I like him. I like my teammates too. They are my age and they are from my school. sport is very important for me because it makes me happy and it gives a lot of adrenaline.

I don't like football. I never watch football on TV. My dad and my brother love football. They play football very often. In Spring and Summer I ride a bike with my friends. In Winter I go skinning. I do Gymnastics 3 times a week.

I'm not a fun of football,although I watched the match and I believe that it was a really exciting match.I don't like any team,beacause I don't know the abilities of each one.Also, I like a lot of different sports,but my favourite is ski.

I don't like football, because it's boring and I don't know what's happening. For me it's a group of guys running after one ball. I don't do much sports but I ride a horse and I take part in horse riding tourmanents and I love them. Sometimes I win and I get a trophy and a medal. For me horses sometimes are better than people because they are loyal and they don't lie to you.

I like football. Football is very interesting. My family don't like football. I like riding a bike, running and swimming. My PE lessons are exciting we play basketball in lessons. I walk to school. I'm active and I like to be fit. My family and I like spending time actively.
