Big Ben is Too Big!
The London Marathon
It’s Sunday the 28th of April 2019. Forty-two thousand people are in the city for the London Marathon.
Lukas Bates is 30 years old, from Maidstone in Kent. He wants to run the marathon … in a Big Ben costume!
But there’s a problem! Lukas’s costume of Big Ben is too tall! He needs help to finish the marathon! Lots of people see the funny video. They give Lukas money for his charities, Alzheimer’s Research UK and Dementia Revolution. He is very happy!
This year Brigid Kosgei, 25, is the women’s winner. Eliud Kipchoge is the men’s winner for the fourth time! He runs the race in 2 hours 2 minutes and 37 seconds.
Kipchoge says, “The crowd in London is wonderful … from the first kilometre to the last, everybody is shouting.”

I went to London and view the London Marathon and it was very fun to watch runners race through London my favourite sport is basketball i like so much i like so much running i do running and the famous sport in my country (spain) is soccer its very famous in my country!!

Hi! I am 02np [Nick] and I am from Greece. I am 11 years old and I am going in the 5th grade of primary school. Ιn my free time, I like watching TV. Specifically I watch lots of motosport. But I am mor intersted about basketball. Well, you understand my favourite sport is basketball. I like running and when we did races in my school I took the bronze medal.
