Christmas shopping comes to the UK

This is the 2018 UK Black Friday sale on Friday 23 November.
• The Black Friday sale began in the U.S.
• It happens on the day after the American Thanksgiving holiday.
• Shops have a 24-hour sale with really low prices.
• Some shops open at midnight because they want shoppers to spend a lot of money before Christmas.
• Americans spent 5 billion dollars in 24 hours in 2018 and U.K. shoppers spent about 2.5 billion.
What do people buy?
These things are really popular:
• Technology: computers, phones, TVs
• Fashion
• Toys (AMAZON sold 200,000 toys in the first 5 hours!)
• Health and beauty products for women
Some shoppers wait for days outside the shops. “People go crazy,” says 14 year old Lilly, from Brighton. “I went with my friend. People got really angry and shouted. It was horrible. I won’t go again. No way!”
A lot of people feel the same. About 75% shopped online this year and [only] about 25% in shops.

When I was an elementary school student,a present was gaven to me by pearents in Christmas. Since then,l don’t get a present so,if I get a present,I want my parents to buy something.
