Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Have Good News

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expecting a baby! It’s due in spring 2019! They announced the good news by tweet on Monday.

In May this year, 11.6 million people watched Prince Harry marry his American wife Meghan at Windsor Castle. Meghan wore a stunning white dress, and Prince Harry looked splendid in his military uniform. It was a very romantic day!

This summer, Meghan has been getting used to life in the Royal family. There’s a lot of rules and courtesies she needs to learn and abide by, including not eating shellfish, or playing Monopoly! There are also special rules for expecting mothers. There are no baby showers for Royal family members (even though they’re traditional in America), they can’t reveal if it’s a boy or a girl until after the birth, and Queen must be told before anyone else … even Meghan’s mum!

There’s more good news too: Harry and Meghan have adopted a new dog! It’s a black Labrador, and it’s a girl! Meghan already has one dog, who she adopted in America: a Beagle, called Guy!

The couple are currently in Australia, on a Royal visit to the city of Sydney.
