FOOTBALL WORLD CUP 2018!

The 2018 FIFA World Cup has kicked off! It’s a huge tournament with 32 nations competing from all over the world, totalling 64 matches in 12 different stadiums across Russia.

Fans are very excited about the tournament, who is going to win? There has already been a lot of exciting action in the first week!

On Sunday, Mexico and Germany played. Germany were the champions in 2014, but Mexico beat Germany! (1-0)

Brazil and Switzerland also played on the opening weekend. Brazil have won the World Cup five times, so they were expected to win, but it was a draw! (1-1)

After all these surprises, it’s difficult to know who will be the champion team in 2018. This year it’s not only fans trying to predict, but also many psychic animals who are trying to correctly choose the winners!

Before each game, the animals choose their favourite teams by choosing the food with a country’s flag on. Some animals are very good at guessing, but we still have to wait until the final on the 15th of July to know the winners!
