Forty years of fame come to an end
He was known as ‘The King of Pop’. Fans of all ages from all over the world loved his singing and his dancing. Now Michael Jackson has died.
He died at his home in Los Angeles, because of a heart attack. He was 50 years old.
Michael Jackson first found fame as a member of the Jackson 5, when he was just 11. After that he launched a solo career and become arguably the most famous pop star in the world.
In 1982 he released Thriller, which sold 65 million copies and became the biggest-selling album of all time.
Michael Jackson’s fans loved his memorable stage costumes and his brilliant dance moves. In particular, he will be remembered for inventing a dance called ‘The Moonwalk’.
Michael Jackson’s life was plagued by controversy and media attention. His love of plastic surgery caused constant speculation in the media.
In recent years Michael Jackson had stayed out of the media spotlight but he was scheduled to perform 50 concerts in London this summer. His fans were looking forward to seeing their hero on stage again.
Michael Jackson’s friend, Reverend Al Sharpton, says “We thought we would see him moonwalk one more time. Now he is gone, with no goodbye. The shock is overwhelming.”

He died of the same reason as Presley:/ Because of taking drugs.... and I really don't know why he looked so ugly of the end of his life;/....Surprising.
